Interested in an Instagram-friendly location across the beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama? You’ll find a wealth of such!

The Hangout (at the end of Hwy. 59) is one of the ideal spots. Pose in front of the bigger-than-life shaka sign or in a huge Adirondack chair or the Hangout bus. Find your favorite Pez on the Hangout DJ booth or head to the ever-amazing wish wall. But of course, best of all is the emerald green Gulf of Mexico right out the back door.

Picnic Beach in Gulf Shores is another Instagram favorite. Pose in front of their grass wall or beneath the string lights. Or have someone snap candid shots while playing board games, or sitting outside enjoying lunch or dinner at the picnic tables.

Little Lagoon is a picturesque location down West Beach in Gulf Shores. The tide ebbs and flows through the pass as clear, green waters from the Gulf of Mexico mingle with lagoon waters. White sands and shallow waters make it a friendly spot to relax and take selfies in the sand and water.

Lake Shelby is the perfect location for the adventurer. Snap pictures from the boardwalks or while kayaking on the lake. You can even snap photos of your grilled dinner on the lakeside grills. (Just remember to bring the charcoal.) There are so many great spots here that you will not want to put your phone down.

Perdido Pass provides a unique view of jetties lining the entrance to the pass – not only do they create a picture-worthy backdrop, they also attract those who enjoy fishing. Watch as large boats go in and out of the gulf waters. You may even see dolphins chasing the waves and playing alongside. The white sands that jut out and make shallow alcoves along the western side of the shore create popular spots for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling.

Just north of the Perdido Pass Bridge are Robinson Island and Bird Island. Take a very short boat ride over to the small islands and enjoy the day as you alternate between searching for shells and simply relaxing. Pictures on an island surrounded by crystal-clear waters always bring smiles.

With 32 miles of beautiful coastline waiting for you to enjoy, you’ll find it easy to snap pictures to cherish forever. There are no wrong spots for highlighting memories from your Alabama beach vacation, so . . . happy shooting!
