sunrise on Gulf Shores and Orange Beach AlabamaSince 1992, April has been recognized as Stress Awareness Month. The website National Today recommends three ways to observe Stress Awareness Month:

  1. Practice meditation. Silencing the mind is one of the most effective ways to deal with stress.
  2. Adding fresh air and exercise to your day helps with stress.
  3. Visit your doctor.

We think the best place to be for the first two is Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The Leave Only Footprints program ensures our beaches will stay pristine and possibly improve your stress level.

May we suggest a few tips to try while you’re here?

  • A walk on the beach, with the waves lapping the shoreline, is a great way to decompress.
  • A coastal sunset – or, if you’re an early bird, a sunrise – provides an amazing experience every time.
  • The area is filled with hiking and biking trails as well as waterfront parks. These are beautiful settings for watching boats pass by.
  • A day on the water by way of a boat, kayak or paddleboard could be just what the doctor ordered for getting the tension out of your neck.
  • Just watching the waves or reading a good book from the comfort of a beach chair on the sand puts you in a tranquil state.

There are numerous ways to relax and enjoy the laid-back coastal life. We know you will find the ones that are the right fit for you.
